Royal Family LongShadow Cattery (Scanning for PKD)LongShadow Cattery's objective is to produce the best Persian cats possible. It is important to note that recent findings have shown that Polycistic Kidney Disease or PKD is a genetic dominant trait that is passed on at conception. Persian breeders have had a devastating blow with estimates as high as 50% of the present breeding population expected to have PKD and capable of passing it on their kittens. All of our breeding stock which are shown below have been scanned via the latest ultrasound by the head of Radiology at the distinguished MED Vet Clinic in Columbus, Ohio.
